Lauren was born on February 2nd in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was raised in Texas, where her family still resides, and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Texas. She then earned her Master's degree in the advanced training program at San Francisco's American Conservatory Theatre. After graduation, Lauren appeared in several theater productions. Some of her play credits are: "No End of Blame," "Uncle Vanya," "Boy's Life," "Burn This," and "The Imaginary Invalid". Lauren is an avid reader and was a member of "The Actors Gang," an experimental theater company headed by Tim Robbins . In 2000, Ms Lane appeared as Karen in the play "Dinner With Friends" at Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Berkeley, California. The actress is currently teaching at the Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.
